About

What is the IRWA?

We are an organization of professionals who acquire, manage, and transfer land rights needed for building and maintaining energy and transportation infrastructure. Basically, we help buy right of way. Our purpose is to improve people’s quality of life through infrastructure development. For more on who we are and what we do, please see the IRWA's global website at IRWAOnline.org/about-irwa. Chapter 36 is part of Region 2 that includes the states of Oklahoma, Arkansas, and Louisiana, as well as the Country of Mexico. You can contact our Region 2 officers at irwaregion2.org/officers.

MISSION

Because we respect private property, our mission is to elevate the ethics, learning, and standards of excellence for our members. To achieve these goals, the Association provides a Code of Ethics and Rules of Professional Conduct, a forum for the exchange and advancement of ideas, education courses and seminars, and a program of professional development.
