Transportation Right of Way Agent - Salem Land

Summary: Seeking a Right of Way Agent in the State of Texas with experience with the Texas Department of Transportation and other local/state public agencies. Key responsibilities include: Analyze parcels to evaluate potential problems; Perform technical and clerical work; Negotiation for acquisition for real property to achieve closing while meeting schedule requirements; Conduct county record searches for property information; Ability to review title documents and identify potential issues; Provide proper documentation as required by the client; Other various duties as deemed necessary in areas such as, but not limited to, condemnation, coordination, and support.

Requirements: Active TREC License; Knowledge of TxDOT policies and procedures; Knowledge of 49 CFR Part 24 – Uniform Relocation Assistance and Real Property Acquisition for Federally-Assisted Programs; 2 years of experience in working with TxDOT contracts is preferred; Bachelor’s Degree preferred or relevant education/experience; IRWA or other industry certifications is a plus.

Right of Way Agent - Teague Nall & Perkins (TNP)

Summary: Review title reports and identify issues that create an encumbrance on the title. Review appraisal reports and answer property owner questions concerning the methodology of establishing value. Negotiate property rights for the construction of public works projects proposed by Cities, Counties, Utility Districts, and the State of Texas. Assist in the preparation of initial notice letters, offer letters, memorandum of agreements/sales contracts, final offer letters and other documents required to secure clear title on a property. Work cooperatively with title companies to schedule property closings. Review construction plans sufficiently to explain project impacts on a particular property.
